The age was about ten. It was a bright sunny day. I had just come in from a day of play. My little brother, who was about seven, was sitting down on the couch watching Power Rangers. I sat and joined him. The show ended and we were hyped from all of the action we just witnessed. So, me being me, I decided to try to reenact some of those moves on my little brother - who kicked me hard between the legs. I got so mad and he could tell. He tried to run but I pantsed him. As he turned, he fell and hit his head on the ground. He wasn't moving but I thought he was faking. So, I laughed and continued to watch TV.
After five minutes he didn't get up and he never has faked for this long. Then it hit me, just like his head hit the ground, this child was k.o.'d. I went into the kitchen, got a glass of water and poured it on him. He woke up, looked around and realized what happened and started crying.
Oh no I thought, "My mom is gonna come downstairs and beat my a--." I tried bargaining with him so he would stop crying. He stopped for a short second to think about it, but then continued to cry. Then I heard the boom - boom of footsteps and the rattle of the belt. My mom peaked her head around the corner; saw my brother's head, a huge bump had appeared, and she just started swinging; didn't ask what happened, no explanation. She just started swinging. My brother had to go to the emergency and so did I from the beating my mom gave me.
